people are making a sci fi/fantasy with influences from things like esoteric naziism, Agartha hollow earth stories, and the occult and other conspiracy theories. You could build an entire movie genre around the endless crazy complex conspiracy theories. Atlanteans, Aliens, Nephilim, interdimensional beings, spiritual warfare, satanism, great flood and meteor disasters, intergalactic conflict, The pyramids and the sphinx, sunken cities and lost civilisations, genetic tampering, unexplained artifacts, Enochian magic, secret societies....the possibilities are endless. No reverse blackface though. lol

Well the fist movie tackled some conspiracy theories aswel, the dark side of the moon, the missing nazis, the america always breaks the law, even the moon landings itself. The secondovie seems to tackle some orher conspiracies while keeping the feel of the first movie.
