I hope Eric wins

Everyone else was so rude to him. That soulless ginger was the worst one. Get over it.

Well, he didn't win. Kathy was awesome!

She could've blown it with that double back though.

The other guy had 16, she had 38, the questions were 5 points each. Doubling back makes it 20 points and if he got it right it would've been 36 to 38 with seconds to spare and I've read that sometimes Seacrest says to play it through when there are a few seconds left and the time runs out after he reads the question.

If she just answered and got it wrong it would've been 26 to 38, and the next question if he doubled and she got it wrong it would've been 36 to 38.

I watched the first few episodes and checked this one out because it's the finals, but do a lot of people make stupid doubling mistakes like that?

reply

Well I still hope it's not one of the three. She'll do. To the person below you, you're right she was so lucky he got that question wrong because she could have afforded to let him have 10 points, but not 20.

I'll admit that I was pulling for Eric too.

I thought it was beyond rude how nasty Red Beard was being to him, and then for Devin to put him up in the final bout (when it would have made more strategic sense to put Andrew or Brandon up) just really had me rooting for him. They didn't think he deserved to be there, but neither did Hayley, she was as much dumb luck as Eric was. If they thought they could beat him so easily (and they probably could have) then why not save him for the final matches to improve your own chances at the 2 million?

"Oh, because all of us are such good friends."--Right, I don't think Andrew/Brandon are capable of real human connection, and Devin never looked particularly close to any of them either.
