Wow, Brandon just gave up at the end

That was cool.

Yeah, that's true. Oh well. I thought when they played each other it was going to be like when Brandon played that other guy, Nathan I think his name was? The guy that he tied with.

No, I know I was just saying that I thought they were going to tie and that it was going to be close like when Brandon played the guy that he tied with, not that Andrew was going to take an early lead.

> I'm disappointed that Andrew won.. really hated that sorry sack of sh!t

I'm thrilled that Andrew won. He was obviously the smartest player there and he was the nicest person as well.

It's about time that smart people were held in higher esteem than dumb jocks and Kardashians.

I'm kind of guessing that you are a fan of Jersey Shore.

> However he certainly wasn't nice.

He was extremely nice to everyone all the time! What did you ever see him do that you considered to be condescending?

> He's ugly as hell, has a stupid grin that makes me want to punch him square in the face.

Ding! I think this is the real point here. You hate him because he's not a buff and handsome young man.

Are you sure you don't like Jersey Shore? They got a lot of buff dudes on that show.

> He would basically stare them down while the questions were being read.

Perhaps you didn't notice it, but staring down your opponent is a very important part of this game. The doubler option means that it is important to know whether your opponent thinks he knows the answer. Just like in poker, you want to strike if he's weak and hold back if he's strong.

For the same reason, it is important to not let your opponent know whether you know the answer or not. If you make the same stare every time, he will never know.

So, the stare is one of the most important parts of the game and is probably one of the big reasons that Andrew was so good at the game.

The folks that didn't stare are all sitting at home on their couches.

> Sorry but you're wrong. Devin and Brandon both glanced at their opponent without giving them the creeper look like Andrew.

And which of them is laughing his way to the bank?

> Yes Andrew beat them both but the match against Devin could have gone either way.

Exactly correct. In an especially tight game, any small advantage makes the difference between winning and losing. If Andrew's constant stare gains him just one extra point in a close game, that's all he needs.

> Brandon's game was just a bad round of questions.

Go back and watch. They were close for a while, but once Andrew got a few points ahead, Brandon felt that he needed to press the doubler every time to try to regain lost ground. If there was no doubler in the game, we'd see that the game was a lot closer than it looked. Andrew's stare gained him a point or two and that was the key to winning.

> given another set of questions, he probably would have smoked Andrew.

Given the right set of questions, anyone could have smoked Andrew. That's a moot point.
