What I find sad about this

I think it's a tragic state of affairs when the female winner of the current season seemed to be so hellbent on repeating over and over that she was a GIRL, as if being a girl was such a huge detriment. She is NINE, for God's sakes, and already she has felt the overwhelmingly discrimination - both obvious and insidious - toward females succeeding in this wretched society. She is NINE. The sexism horror runs so deep that I was seeing it in in a child a few days ago who was FIVE. It has to *beep* end, plain and simple.

When I was a little girl it was always "the boys against the girls" and it had nothing to do with oppression - etc. We were just girls and liked to stick together. We're a team! 😀

Where are you getting the idea that she thought being a girl was a detriment? Sounds more like she just thinks it's cool to be the first after the previous winners happened to be boys. If the reverse were true and a boy won after three girls in a row, I'm pretty sure he'd be saying exactly the same thing.

Who was discriminated against, exactly? I'm guessing you're looking at this and seeing that 75% of the winners were male and 25% female, but the sample size is tiny. Flip a coin a few times in sets of four. They're not all going to be 50/50 although it's purely random.

I happen to be a feminist who's pretty sensitive to sexism and gets outraged frequently. This is not one of those times. I get what you're saying about society overall, but this particular instance is reaching, and in any case it isn't worth getting riled up over.
