Well, as someone else said, it really isn't that bad, technically. She's got her job, she's got a social life, looks to have a house. It's just the same boring real life that many other people have (somewhat exaggerated, almost like in an Alexander Payne movie, to emphasize how dull a comfortable, problem-free middle-class life is). It's just in contrast to the colorful life she had before that it seems so bad, really (putting her past inner demons and traumatic memories aside, I mean). Kinda reminds me of the last scene of Goodfellas, in that way. Or, heck, I guess it could be kinda similar to Walter White's story if it were told in reverse. Where, yeah, he had a boring life before getting into crime but at least it was an innocent one. Which is the "happier" life I suppose depends on how you look at it.
