Great show but de-aging is needed to bridge to the BB timeline

Bob Odenkirk literally looks 20 years older than his BB Saul Goodman footage. Same goes for Jonathan Banks.

If freelance Youtubers can de-age and deepfake celebrities I can't see why Vince Gilligan can't hire them or a good SFX team to do the same.

No need for that. Its better to watch these series in production order anyway, so their age difference isn't that big of a deal.

I don't follow your logic here. Production order is basically watching the prequel with older actors that obviously look much older today than their sequel versions in Breaking Bad. My point is that the aging looks WAY TOO OBVIOUS. All I'm suggesting is that production touch up the obvious aging aspects of Bob and Jonathan's faces.

all you have to do is forget that these characters go on to appear in Breaking Bad, and enjoy them for the characters they are

That would be easy if this was the 1970s before VHS, Cable, and nationally syndicated programming

If you watch the series in chronological order, you'll have the oldest Bob in the last episode of BCS and then transition to youngest Bob in the beginning of BB, so the age jump is more obvious. Besides, in production order you'll get the references and character introductions as creators of the shows intended.

I figure in 10 years from now, they'll do director's cut + de-aging in one go.

How will you ever handle seeing a play on stage?

De aging is definitely an idea. Especially when considering that they decided to take 4 years to complete the final 2 seasons. Bob Odenkirk indeed looks noticeably older than his BB self but Jonathan Banks has definitely aged the most noticeably. It's actually quite striking actually.
