Superb!

I have to say that this series is absolutely superb and it just seems to get better and better. The writing is of such an excellent standard throughout, its so consistent and it hasn’t dipped in all its 5 seasons. Acting too, brilliant. Direction, outstanding. Production design, cinematography the list goes on!

S5 Ep 8 was perhaps the best episode yet and this is saying something. I loved the ‘desert survival’ aspect of the episode and loved the idea of Mike being sent to babysit Saul after the money transfer.

One question though - how did those bad guys know about the money being transferred? They’d obviously been tipped off about it. Just the way Mike took ‘most’ of them out, that was awesome!

Don’t shout and scream at me but I’m thinking BCS is even of a better quality than BB.

I’m gonna miss this when it’s over.

When the shiny suit guys show up and take the cash from the vault, we see someone peeking out at them. That person then makes a phone call and says something about "this might interest you," or something along those lines. He's clearly an inside man for another cartel, and tipped off his people about the chance to grab some cash.

Better Call Saul is an excellent show, but it doesn't have the momentum of Breaking Bad. The latter was more tightly knit, and moved from point A to point B in a very gripping and purposeful manner, while Saul meanders quite a bit. That's not a bad thing, and I enjoy that they are taking time to tell the story, but there's something I like better about the way Breaking Bad moved along its arc. It also helps that Breaking Bad has run its course, and ended with probably the greatest finale in television history, while we don't yet know where Better Call Saul is taking us. In any event, I'm enjoying the show immensely as well, and will certainly miss it once it ends.
