It hasn't been talked about ever since late season 3. This guy who is the leader of that firm is now a colleague and partner with many of the ones who was (and still is) involved with said case?
shareHe wasn't scamming them, the Sandpiper people were, he's their lawyer and he has a duty to represent their interests. It's just like how people who are clearly guilty of murder are entitled to a lawyer as well.

The point I was making is that Schweikart had nothing to do with the scamming, he was their lawyer and it seems that he operates within the parameters of the law. Even the most deplorable scum of the gutters deserve a lawyer, if there's a strong enough case against them then there's not much a lawyer can do.
