A great season so far but fewer Kim scenes please

Kim's scenes the season so far seem largely like filler. I understand the importance of her relationship with Jimmy/Saul as she is the only thing keeping him somewhat teetering between legitimacy & going full 'Saul Goodman' but I definitely don't need to see her day-to-day lawyer "drama" when there are significantly more interesting things going on.

She's a key character (and a great actress) and we all want to know what happens to her though...

reply

I didn't feel her scènes were more filler than the other seasons. I also enjoyed her story though despite the others are more riveting.

This is probably my one gripe with the show. The Kim scenes with mesa verde are absolutely brutal. I like Kim as a character but the lawyer stuff she goes through isn't interesting to me.

reply

Really? I find her story interesting. I have a feeling she's not going away any time soon. During Breaking Bad I wanted Jesse to go away (personally I figured Walt was just going to waste him out there in the desert during the Confessions episode) but that didn't happen.

Got exactly the opposite of what i asked for the following week. We got more 'adventures' of Kim trying to be do gooder girl scout lawyer (she even takes the time to sweep broken glass bottles off the pavement)

No Nacho or Lalo & only brief scenes of grumpy Gus at his restaurant.

I have a feeling Kim will be making her exit from the story soon, that's why they're pumping her up a bit for these last eps.

reply

Yeah, I get the feeling she's either going to die or move away before the season ends and blends into Breaking Bad. It doesn't feel like she'd be a part of Saul's life when he's introduced in the BB timeline. I could be wrong.
