My heart couldn’t take it when he conned the old lady S3

My God, that sweet old lady Irene in season three when he turned her friends on her, I couldn’t stand it. She was so heartbroken. I know he ultimately fixed it by betraying himself but it was still awful to watch.

Yup. Now I wonder what's worse; messing/hurting kids, animals, or geriatrics.

reply

Kids for sure but the elderly and animals a close second in my opinion anyways.

i think you have that backwards.
kids need to learn about and prepare for reality. animals and elderly don't.
Sheltering kids from reality is detrimental to the child and society.

Hurting a child affects an entire lifetime. That is detrimental to society. You definitely need to shelter kids from a lot of reality until they are old enough to handle it.

It is better to learn the hard lessons early on.

No it’s actually not. https://www.explorepsychology.com/early-childhood-development/

reply

You mean babies. Yeah, protect toddlers and babies, but children are better off not being sheltered.

There is a reason that we protect children from seeing sex and violence.

This thread is about conning people. You are going off-topic. Besides, children need to be exposed to those things too, and they usually are no matter how hard you try to shelter them. Instead, they should be educated.

How am I off topic by replying to your statement about kids being exposed to adult shit? I’m pretty sure you are young, and hey, that’s okay but there is a reason who we as a society protect kids and though I agree they should be educated, in no way should they be considered less vulnerable than the elderly. The elderly have seen some horrible things and learned how to deal with it. Children are MUCH more vulnerable.

Again, there is a difference between conning a kid and being violent or sexual towards them. If you cannot see the difference, that is your problem.

I’m pretty sure you are young

Nope. I have a 20 year old daughter.

American and Canadian societies seem hellbent on being overprotective. Most other countries do not embrace helicopter parenting.

they should be educated

Yup.

This is objectively false. Take COVID-19 for example.

The elderly have seen some horrible things and learned how to deal with it

The elderly are often senile, demented, incontinent, and they should not be preparing for their future. They do no have much of a future.

Children are MUCH more vulnerable.

Nope.

i love hurting them
