So how was Lalo not arrested or pursued by the cops?

I mean he legit walked in a business in broad daylight and murdered a guy, he then rear ended a guy and tore the back end of the guys car off after driving his car through a ticket booth and he just drove away.

Was there no cops called about any of this shit? With a description of the vehicle, etc.

It was extremely ridiculous when he opened up the ceiling tile, apparently found an open air duct to climb though and then came crashing down out of the ceiling, landing on his feet with a gun in his hand. All in 30 seconds.

Better Call Saul is better than that.

lol yeah i was thinking "wtf is he Batman?" apparently he just leaped up into the ceiling and crashed through it like a ninja.

Yes a weak ending if a nice show. But with Mike getting ridiculously old now they might just as well drop the whole thing anyway. It's been nice and philosofical and what better way then to end with the "'s all good, man!"

FWIW, I worked in an office with ceiling tiles like that. On more than one occasion, I had to do the exact same thing due to a client changing their locks on us. Except the tile would be right next to the door, then just remove the tile directly inside the office and drop down. My point being that there's nothing above the tiles...you wouldn't have to find an open air duct...you just crawl right over into the other room.
Buuut...as for them holding your weight while you scurry the length of a room...eh, not so much lol

The show has kinda gone stupid. Even if we buy that Lalo would be lucky enough to see something happen at a chicken farm -- Gus' men going into action including Mike, how does he decide to follow Mike? That he drives a boring Buick? Yes, that's it.

However, he's not going to be able to figure where Mike went and why just like that after tailing him. We're suppose to buy that he's a better detective than Batman with all his anti-crime gadgets. He even gets lucky breaking into TravelWire, killing the agent without anyone else noticing and figuring it all out by watching the long tape. Even Mike being allowed to watch the security tape was unbelievable. Obviously, they couldn't show how Lalo did it because he couldn't. No way.

Bottom line, the whole story has become too complex. They did the Jimmy and Kim and how Jimmy ends up grieving over Chuck well from the "Winner" takes in all song to Jimmy financing the $23,000 library and luncheon. The big set up was at the end before the appeals hearing panel. I thought I heard Kim cry and then Jimmy laid the boom down and Kim could not believe her man had turned into Saul Goodman.

I think I can explain (a little bit) why I think Lalo did what he did (maybe):

1. He followed Mike because Mike is the boss of the other guys. He runs the crew. Lalo would have established during his stakeout that Mike runs the security team. When in doubt, follow the main man.

2. Once he breaks into TravelWire, he can get the agent to show him the tape before killing the poor kid. When he looks at the tape, he specifically sees that Mike leaves the place and then comes back, walks directly to the brochure stand and takes specific brochures from specific compartments on the stand. Lalo can then look at them and see what they all have in common - desert spa retreats. So he understands that whomever Mike is tracking is in such a place. He also has Werner's name from the agent. So at that point, he just does what Mike does and call the places until he gets lucky.

Lalo is just a formidable villain. Ruthless and smart. A good foil for Mike and Gus, who are also extremely detail oriented and methodical in their approach.

Do I think it is easy to climb through a ceiling tile, into a duct and crash into an adjacent room feet first; then commandeer a money wiring facility, commit murder, watch surveillance video and leave freely all in the middle of the day??? No. I wouldn't try it. Seems like a tall order. But it makes for entertaining story material.

BTW, not saying I don't understand the criticism. Just explaining why I went with it.

The Salamancas kill out in the open. That's their style. If it gets too hot, they can always slip back across the border. But this is a town where a high school chemistry teacher whose brother-in-law was a DEA went undetected as a meth cook and kingpin for a number of years.
