Opinions?

If anyone stumbles onto this, I'd like to hear your opinion on the non-linear nature of the movie.

Do they take the road trip BEFORE Gijs' injury, solidifying how close they used to be once and how much they drifted apart; or did they take it AFTER his rehab, to reconnect as friends, to pave the way for a new sort of friendship (not just their usual sex, parties, silliness, etc, but something deeper)?

There seems a lot to pick apart in this short, but I'm probably overthinking it.
