who was the killer?

Who was it?

The Valedictorian. The one they shot paintballs at. The fact this wasn't abundantly clear is a testament to the shoddy filmmaking. Killer reveal is crucial to a whodunit-style slasher film.

Sometimes it's OK to leave things ambiguous, but not so with whodunit-style slashers. Disappointing and way too long.

It wasn't clear to me because I wasn't sure if that was him at the end. He wasn't a significant enough character for the reveal to be impactful, which is honestly the main reason why, in my opinion, this movie tanked.

I didn't care much for the finale on the beach at all. The entire scene didn't make much sense at all... if Ryan wasn't the killer, then why did he not dismiss blame at all when he was being accused? I know he had a crazy look of desperation in his eyes, but given the fact that he was not the killer after all, his behavior in this scene made little sense really. And why did Liam throw the machete rather than just drop it? It was as though he was trying to get himself shot...

I did, however, like the hospital scene at the end. I would've loved the ending if it was a bunch of people involved in the killing spree rather than just one person. Unfortunately, it was all just a dream.
