7/10: Well produced fantasy for a young audience.

In short: A good "Witch" and her child get caught up in the game of power ("the emperors game"), intended for younger audiences. With a slice of LotR/shire to it.
Probably what a game of thrones episode for children would look like.

In longer: Low budget (relative to blockbuster movies) fantasy clearly inspired cinematographically of the medieval times, lord of the rings and possibly game of thrones. Well produced, well crafted, the CGI isn't top notch but used sparesely. Characters are not given enough depth but most perform quite well.

Pro's
• Cast
• Scenery
• Effects (especially well weighed when to use them)
• Message (not just meaning good but actively acting for that)

Con's
• Could have made a greater impact with better CGI (especially fire and dragons)
• Short - too little depth in general and for characters in particular.

End Note:
The Dragons are most likely made to depict Komodo Dragons (worlds largest lizard) which is also consistant with the bite which is dealt (Komodos kill larger preys by infection) which together with Crocodiles and alligators were considered dragons in the era of knights.

Ignorance is only a bliss if you haven't reached awareness.
