What's up with Nessas panic room ??

The all white room that they show Nessa go into is so weird. What is the deal with her going in there to sleep? I'm only into the 4th episode so maybe it comes out but I'm thinking it has something to do with her capture . It's just very strange

It's downright weird. It's a BBC concoction of the "Paranoid Jew". Up there with the Nazi "Eternal Jew".

Well, she had a pretty good reason for being afraid.

More like a 'panic bedroom.'

I thought it was cool. And seeing that she was kidnapped and brutally violated, I think she has a reason to want to get a good's night sleep without being afraid.

I agree that it was cool. Beneath her publicly calm exterior, Nessa is a mess. Not only was she kidnapped, held captive, and raped, but as a young child she witnessed the the violent murder of her father and the killing of the killer. She never had a mother. Then she made the emotional and somewhat irrational decision to keep her own motherhood a secret and give the child to a woman she is perhaps in love with. She seems to self-medicate with inappropriate sex with men, and is given to crying jags. She clearly feels guilty about her father's legacy.

I like that the panic room is all about simplicity. What more could someone trying to navigate the Israel/Palestine cluster**** want?

Ha! Love this.

That panic bed room looks scary all white, but better when the light dims...
Still, claustrophobic..
