Theory I just want to get out

I do not particularly think this is a good series. Its poorly plotted and paced. the acting is only ok, and at time kind of terrible. I am a sucker for a mystery though, so now I am stuck watching this to the end because I want to know what happens.

So, This is what I think is going on:

this starts out with Nessa doing a voice over, asking "who do you trust." Its called the "honorable woman"
Atika as a name mean noble, and noble is a synonym for honourable.

So, I think that Atika is "the bad guy," so to speak.

Nessa and efphran's dad was an arms dealer to Israel. Antika's family was probably destroyed. She grew up and joined a type of resistance group (trying not to use terrorist because I do not think it is).

remember her speech about "if you were me, you would have learned to wait." well, i think she infiltrated the stein clan as a translator and was biding her time. it would seem sensible that she became Ephra's translator when he was working on phases 1. She seduced him, earned his trust. he sends her with Nessa to the Gaza Strip, and the kidnapping is setup.

Antika was behind the kidnapping plot - not alone of course. but she was part of it.

Nessa got pregnant while kidnapped- not sure if rape, or something else. perhaps she bonded with "an other prisoner" - the guy we heard screaming maybe. he is probably not a real prisoner. all a set up. or maybe rape. anyway, she has kassim, but cannot bear it. not having a kid, not from a kidnapping, prisoner experience, not him being half Palestinian.

so, Atika says he is hers. but the kidnappers wanted, intended, her to get pregnant. they needed her "secret" to keep control.

Ephra was some sort of mi5/6 negotiator as we learned and, "negotiated" nessa and atkias release. the cost was that nessa take over the company and let this group somehow use the fiber optic cable to do something against isreal - bug devices, plant bombs, something. and, nessa is the catalyst.

the Palestinian contractor got the award because Sholomo was set to look like he laundered money for Hezbollah, Nessa set him up. she needed an excuse to give it to palastine.

cia killed the Palestinian contractor because US is pro-Isreal.

so, thats my theory. hope i am wrong

1. Series is more than good.

2. Plot and pace are greatly elaborated.

3. Acting is superb.

4. Your theory was very much wrong XD

Agreed, msnboy_69. The series was excellent and the theory was beyond ridiculous.

Like you I watched it because I wanted to know what happened. I didn't like Maggie Gyllenhaal as Nessa, her voice and the way she spoke really irritated me. I don't mean the English accent, I mean the stilted robotic, little girl voice was not good IMO. As for your theory, I agree that it wasn't 100% correct, but it wasn't 100% wrong either.
