The worst part of the show was whenever she was on screen, constantly complaining about anything and everything. So insecure, and no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
That said, Katherine Parkinson is a great actress.
Yes, it was Diane Keaton from the Godfather cranked up a notch. I personally thought Ephra's actions were honorable, at least in getting the soldier and Nessa out of harm's way. Poking Atika, not so much, but he was in a bind with that situation as far as keeping her under his roof for Nessa's benefit.
I still think that Chris O'Dowd was among the guests at the birth celebration of Ephra's first daughter.

On the other hand, she was very much the outsider in the Stein family, not remotely in the loop about what was going on and she resented the impact it was having on her family and her marriage. I thought she had to put up with a hell of a lot, actually - she didn't ask for any of it, but had it all forced on her, really.
