ALMOST got um

Mountain Monsters hunters and all cryptoid hunters seem to almost get them.Inevitably there are the torn nets and the failed equipment.

You got that right.... besides if any of these "monsters" were ever caught, I'm sure it would be on the news. I was wondering if AIMS ever existed before this show... or is just a made up name for the show ?

reply

Well, to be fair they DID catch some wild dogs... *lol*

reply

Yeah, your are correct that they did catch some wild dogs. But if they ever came across anything the was half as dangerous as all the monsters they claim to be chasing I wouldn't be surprised if the pushed poor Buck into its path as they ran to jump on their UTVs.

reply

The guys are the ones who are dangerous! In the catawampus episode they stumble around in the dark over jags of deadfall with loaded firearms and allow at least one of their number to get out in front of them. Of course, as soon as they hear the growl of what they are hunting, they turn and run, carelessly flailing their weapons. I did get a kick out of them charging into a pasture on loud fourwheelers, whooping like lunatics, chasing the cows and one of them saying in a loud stage whisper, "SOMETHING'S got 'em scared!"

reply

I live very near these guys and the wampas cat episode is the only one I believe that is real. They've been seeing large black cats in this area for several years now. There is nothing spooky about them, they arnt a cryptid like bigfoot or the other goofy things they hunt for, supposedly they were reintroduced to central West Virginia several years ago by the Dept of Natural Resources Div of Wildlife, though they wont admit to it, and actually confiscated some photos from a guy I know and told him those cats arn't in this area. After one of the cats killed some horses the DNR trapped and relocated "a" cat. They have been spreading and been spotted in eastern Ohio just this past year. Reintroducing animals is nothing new and sometimes doesn't seem very smart and the public is VERY seldom informed of anything. The Ohio DNR some years back decided to reintroduce Rattlesnakes and just turned loose a bunch in two of the state forests that are big camping and hiking areas so turning a apex predator loose on purpose makes about as much sense.

lol@bp, Is it just me or do you think those were just Coyotes?

reply

That was the first episode I ever watched... I am confused as to why we weren't SHOWN what got trapped... I assumed they'd tranq them and show us... Supposedly WHATEVER they were, they weren't coyotes... Until I see a pic, then my assumption is that that's all they trapped - straight up coyotes...

Like, why would they NOT clearly show what was in the cage?

reply

I highly doubt their guns are even loaded. They play a sound like a gunshot (in the devil dog ep), but nobody says anything about gunfire. The guns are probably replicas anyway for insurance reasons. It is hilarious watching these guys pretend to be scared and say things like "If we're gonna be pinned down in this valley we need a better position!" while they're all holding guns! Like, what do you have to fear when you've got 5 people watching your back? They keep saying "creature", like this isn't a naturally occurring animal in nature; a dog.

reply

The thing about these shows are, if they did catch something, they can't let anyone know. Once they show it, there are no more viewers. But yeah they always get close lol.

These morons couldn't catch a cold....

I agree with all of you. This show is a stupid crock and I'm shocked it's still on the air.

The only 'monster' show that actually delivers is River Monsters. And of course the monsters are typically huge freaking fish but at least it isn't 100% B.S. like Mountain Monsters.

And River Monsters is pretty interesting and educational.

reply

It is pretty stupid lol but it's funnier than Duck Dynasty, I'm glad that overrated show finally went downhill.

Fat, toothless, drunken hillbillies, roaming around the woods at night looking for 'Monsters' and shooting at anything that moves and building death traps ......yes, the woods have been made safer with their hard work.

Post credits.... "No actual hunting has taken place in the making of this show."

I was under the impression that we all know it's fake/scripted.....but it's just fun to watch! :D

My fiance and I have created a drinking game for it. Whenever the show decides it needs subtitles because of Wild Bill or someone else talking too 'redneck-y', take a drink..........I've had alcohol poisoning 26 times. lol.
