Anyone else notice?

In the film when Wendy takes the day off from work and she and her boss and her daughter go ice skating and for a walk around the city, it looks like a warm June day with all the leaves on the trees and the grass is so green.
The movie is supposed to be set in a cold climate in the middle of December! There would be no leaves on the trees at that time of the year and the grass would be brown and dead.

Most Christmas Movies are not done in the winter or even in the same area. That was the first thing I noticed when they were walking in the city. The cameraman tried not to catch it but there are people in t-shirts walking too.

I've noticed this in other movies and shows as well, the fact that they don't even try to make it look like the location where it's supposed to take place. This movie was filmed in Los Angeles, where the weather can be 80 degrees in December. Where was the movie supposed to take place, anyway? Did they ever say?

I hate when movies do this. They're wearing scarves and coats and the trees still have green leaves. I realize they don't usually film Xmas movies in Dec, but at least set the movie in a warm place (without mittens and coats) if they're shooting in a warm place.

A lot of these TV Christmas movies have a summery feel. They should really be set in the Southern hemisphere where they do celebrate Christmas in their summer season.
