Who wants to bet

That the same "good" "Christians" who wrote glowing reviews about this film are the same people who wrote scathing reviews about Neighbors - most likely without seeing Neighbors!

Critical reaction to the two films are at opposite ends of spectrum, with Neighbors earning mostly favorable reviews and Mom's Night scoring pretty poorly, yet at the time of this writing, there are a plethora of 1 & 2 star reviews for Neighbors, many of which were published before the films release. Curious, ain't it?

What are you talking about? I'm one of those 'Christians' you're talking about and I can promise most of us are busy, working hard at our jobs and lives to spend the kind of time it takes to review movies we've never seen, and probably never will. Don't care! Christians aren't the boogeyman! Wow.

Some are being inconsiderate jerks who only wish their way of life to be imposed on others.

reply

"Some are being inconsiderate jerks who only wish their way of life to be imposed on others." Oh you mean like people who are not Christians and take every opportunity to trash Christians and impose their atheist views?

I am not Christian and I can't stand hypocrites.

I'm told when I can have sex and who it's with because of their God. I'm told how I should regulate my own personal activities (such as Blue Laws on Sunday). In my OWN HOME STATE, I am not allowed to run for political office simply because I do not believe in their God (according to the State Constitution). A recent survey showed that Christians would rather trust a rapist before they'd trust me (atheist). And of course many other things. But when I finally stand up for myself and say "Hey, we might not see eye to eye on things but please let me live my own life" you and other apologists say "HOW DARE YOU IMPOSE YOUR MILITANT VIEWS ON MEEEE!!"

It's not a hypocrisy. It's like swatting a dog on the nose for doing something you don't like but he didn't know was wrong, and you keep doing it over and over. And finally when he gets sick of it and decides to defend himself by biting your hand as you go to hit him again, you act like YOU"RE the one who should be upset. You have a disgusting master-slave mentality. The master shouldn't have slaves in the first place, but when the slaves rise up, How dare they challenge the authority of the master. They're being militant slaves. That's what you're saying.

I'm a good Christian, and I also LOVE movies, so I would never see this, but neighbors was great, and I wrote a 10/10 review for it

Because Neighbours was actually funny in some parts. That DeNiro part had me laughing in stitches.

I didn't see Neighbors, but loved this Moms' Night Out. I feel that I am what you would call a good Christian. I judge each movie on it's own merit. I don't get out to a lot of movies because my husband has been sick most of this past year. So when I do get out to a movie, I want to make sure it's one I will enjoy. Last movie I went to previous to MNO was the LEGO Movie with a friend's kids. I really enjoyed myself, and left humming the theme song.

Eh, I'm not Christian and I love a good raunchy movie, but Neighbors just wasn't very good. It was nowhere near as funny as Superbad, The Forty-Year-Old Virgin, etc.

What the *beep* does "Christian" have to do with writing a movie review?

Who wants to bet the guy that started this thread is a moron?

reply

Even more, I would bet that the majority of the people who wrote scathing reviews of this movie have never seen it, either.
