Worth watching, low budget but good

The start is slow, but it gets better when on the planet.

I agree and it is pretty impressive what they accomplished with such a limited budget -- under AU$200.000.

- although there's some minor details that bugs me. Why does the escape pod not have some kind of air scrubbers, that could clean up and filter the outside air into fresh air, and why the very limited amount of food and water? I mean, it IS a "lifeboat" meant to keep the survives alive for an unknown period of time. Space is vast, friggin' vast, and if stranded in space, they could be in drift for weeks or months, maybe even years, so a "space lifeboat" like this, should have stored food and water for at least a year.

It's possible to freeze dry almost anything so it don't take up a lot of space, even in present time we're able to make space food, so in the future where this movie is supposed to take place, they would've come up with some clever food, like high protein, high carbon mineral and vitamin filled snack-bars and/or biscuits.

The most critical thing to store would be water -- it's heavy and it can't be compressed. A human can survive on as little as 1.5 liter pr. day (roughly 51 oz) but daily intake shouldn't be less than 2 liter (67.6 oz) so to sustain life for a crew of four for a year, the vehicle would have to store at least 2920 liters (approx.772 gallons) and that's a hell of a lot of water and a hell of a lot of weight. They could recycle urine and condensate from the air, but that would demand a highly advanced water treatment facility, like the one on ISS, but it takes up a lot of space, so I think that would be out of the question. Although in the future they might have developed such a facility into the size of a shoebox. Who knows.

Wow, that ended up a bit more detailed than I meant it to be -- Sorry. 

Hi.i enjoyed this film.i loved the vibe and the feel.i also loved the fact I didn't know where I was going with the story so I was engaged.Australia can make amazing films and it would make no difference if a million was spent on effects as it was top quality.i thought Reef was adorable.he was cheeky.
