Not worth seeing

Though Webber is not a dismal director, EAT is a dismal movie. Combined with the misogyny and cliche, it is hard to redeem the rather spectacular special effects. The acting distracts from the story and the philosophy behind it is completely unfounded. Find another horror movie.

Though I see we've agreed on a number of horror films in the past I have to strongly disagree with you 100% on this film and I believe that the majority of hardcore horror fans will also really dig this flick. This managed to capture and combine a few different elements from a few body horror films and elevate them to a new more disgusting and effectively engrossing level.

The acting, for being based on such an insane premise as it is, is actually great in comparison to mostly all others in its class. Imo the acting was the key part to making this film work for it's full duration, also having an actual story evolve certainly didn't hurt it either. I've pulled the plug very early on so many others because the acting just couldn't support the premise falling into a category I label as "cheap shock", but this one is one that you almost have to stay with, even if it's not your cup of tea or a bit too "visual", in order to see what level that Novella will escalate to before biting off more than she could chew.

Different strokes for different folks though, I'm sure the graphic gore scenes alone will likely be enough to make some pull the plug, I happen to particularly enjoy those.

Really gotta agree with you. Definitely not worth seeing at all honestly. Just cause you throw some gore into a movie doesn't mean it will be scary or good. The first time she bit that long string of skin off made me cringe slightly, but thats it. The characters weren't believable..plot was overused and acting was amateur at best. It makes me a bit upset that @Thrill_KillZ would say this is a good for "hardcore horror fans" because its definitely not. I've seen a lot more horror films that are disturbing, gory and down right sick to watch, unfortunately this movie is not one I'd put in that category and it's extremely mild in my opinion. I honestly feel like this tried to copy In My Skin, but once again In My Skin executed the idea much much better.

I thought it was the opposite actually.

Plus if you thought it was supposed to be a horror movie that's probably the problem...it patently isn't one.

"misogyny" and unfounded philosophy: the profundity of a lobotomy patient. Unfortunately this is not as good as you would expect a movie disliked by blithering morons to be, but it is certainly worth watching.
