Lois .. Spoiler ..

Sorry if this was already brought up , but does anyone see the purpose of the Lois character? They killed her off right away, I wonder why they even bothered with the character in the first place?

I am sure there is a reason the filmmakers had her in the beginning, I just dont see the use.
Why didnt they just start directly with Denise ...

What I can remember off the top: Henry, Olive, and son have a dinner convo about Lois dying. Henry finds it uncomfortably tragic. Chris and Olive did not feel as sympathetic. This scene kind of highlights the fundamental differences in outlooks between Henry's optimism and Olive's pessimism. It also represents a minor family conflict, sort of kicking off the building tension in the house as the story unravels.

True Mickey. It sets the tone to explain their attitudes and interactions in the family.

Thanks ..
