Bill Murray

He won an Emmy for this?!?!?! He was in it for about 5 seconds! Damian Lewis should have won for Wolf Hall.

I think I'll have a large order of prognosis negative.

He was great in it though. Really enlivened the parts that he was in. Hard to imagine anyone else doing as well. Tom Hanks maybe.

Totally agree, OP. I figured he was in about 1/8 of the whole entire series. I think the Emmy's just wanted Bill Murray in the audience (That's a factor, sadly). There are many other TV actors that deserved a supporting actor nod over Bill.

Please, he's an actor, period. The distinction between "film actor" and "TV actor" became obsolete years ago...

I think you're a bit off there. Bill Murray's total screen time was probably around 15 minutes. The series last around 240 minutes. You do the math.

I was a bit puzzled by the win also after finishing watching OK. However, upon further reflection Bill Murray played an important, pivotal character and of course couldn't have had the same impact were it not played by BM. I couldn't imagine any other playing this role. Was happy to see Olive have some happiness with him after the death of her husband.
