According to the linked article, Betas will not be returning with the already-renewed Alpha House.

Looking at the reviews and many of the reactions online, it looks like the audience who would really enjoy this show probably do not waste a lot of time watching TV. I have a software startup myself, and I thought this show was brilliant. Nothing about it was dumbed down for a general audience. Consequently it did not have mass appeal.

If you look at the article they've added a note:
(UPDATE: Amazon says no final decision on Betas has been made yet.)

I have to say I hope it comes back. I only recently discovered it and found it both clever and a light/fun watch.

Me too. I really hope it comes back, I definitely want to see how they take on the Mark Zuckerberg character.

Good riddance. The show was a turd. Sv is much better.

I wholeheartedly agree. This is like Sv for highschoolers. @ 2 episodes in I havent found any of the characters are likeable. I feel like they failed with Ed Begleys character too. He is a comical genius...so much missed opportunity there.

Very disappointed to learn that Betas was not renewed for a second season. Thought it was developing really well. The U.S. market does not seem capable of supporting interesting writing

Just watched the whole season in 2 days. Very sorry to hear there won't be more. I couldn't stop.

To the cast and production crew...well done. This was a great show. I wish there was more.
