Great Show - Season 2

What makes this show great, imo, is its "lightness." Its joy.

Many won't like that (no need to tell us if you don't, feel free to find your own happy place ;).

But, the beauty of Alpha House is it's 'safe' in the sense that there is no heaviness or fear about what will happen next. Don't get me wrong, I love heavy dramas and Breaking Bad scenarios or House of Cards.

But, this has a lighthearted feel that brings comedic joy. For that I am thankful. It's the perfect foil to balance out the darkness of House of Cards.

I especially love the light-hearted mocking of Republicans (but also Dems as well - and, really, all politicians).

And the four characters work perfectly.

Louis Laffer is my favorite, however. So entertaining.

And, finally, it appears Season two is on!

Aside from that, has anyone heard when it might premier? I am guessing fall, as with last year?

You're right I love the easygoing nature of it all.

I watch an insane amount of television shows ( and also stay extremely productive, believe it or not ). But Alpha House is secretly my favorite show. Compared to all the HBO, Showtime, AMC, Netflix shows out there.

I even prefer it to House of Cards. I wish there were more episodes, bigger budget, etc.

Yea, Alpha house is a great show with, with a great premise, and it doesn't take itself too seriously. If you're a die-hard tea partier or some other ultra conservative sect, then you'll probably find it less amusing.. glad season 2 is on. Hopefully this time they develop a more identifiable seasonal arc.. but still maintain that 'aloofness' that makes the show so appealing.

I don't understand American politics at all. And from the posts on the politc board, I am not sure that many Americans do either. But this series is fun!

I just worked on this show for the second time. We shot in Yonkers at a hotel made to look like Las Vegas. I played one of the gamblers who watch Penn Jillette play blackjack. I need to see where this is on so I can catch it.
