And this is hilarious. The Republicans have done a real number on our state (our governor is an ass clown) and we're trying to take it back but it's nice to see us being called out. Trust me, John Goodman's character is getting a lot of things "right" in his portrayal of the fictional Gil John Biggs. How funny is that name? Although he's playing a former UNC basketball coach (Dean Smith wasn't a Republican or even a politician) I honestly believe his character is based a lot on Jesse Helms (at least in the first season). He was famous for doing nothing except block progress.

I'm really surprised by how little I've heard about this but this is all pretty new ground for Amazon. I think it's great that Netflix and Amazon are offering such high quality shows at affordable prices. It's like being about to just buy HBO or Showtime without all the *beep* cable packages.

People are fed up with cable prices (the boxes alone jack up your bill) and the tired ass trashy reality shows that have put so many writers out of work. Thanks to Amazon and Netflix for raising the bar and giving us really clever alternatives.

Bring in season 3!
