How realistic...?

So how realistic is this that 4 politicians share a house?
Here in Hungary, they just steal from the taxpayers' money to buy some luxury estates for themselves.
Is it really not how things work in America? XD that sounds too good to be true.

Hmm. The series is inspired by several actual Democratic congressmen who share a row house in D.C/ (direct quote from Wikipedia on the series "Alpha House")

Also, another real life situation where politicians in the US Congress & Senate share D.C. housing. (although, controversial)

No, whole premise of this show is extremely dumb, they earn very good salaries, yet they can't afford sharing at least nice big house with lot of space, sorry I call BS on this. I tried to watch 2 episodes despide retarded completely unrealistic premise, but the show was just not funny at all, it seem Amazon can't really produce good TV show, this week I tried also Transparent which was even more boring, literally nothing happening, nothing funny, extremely slow, this one seemed little bit better and promising but still had to give up after first 2 episodes, sorry it's just not good at all. 6/10

The best - Fight Club, American Beauty & Falling Down.

LOL, there are AT least 3 Congressmen, and one Senator that share a DC house, in real life. And then there is C Street Center, where not just a few but several Senators share the cost of their living expenses.
You HONESTLY think even as many politicians are, licensed attorneys and on an elected politician's salary, most can afford the upkeep of at least 2 homes?????? All of these elected politicians come from OUTSIDE of DC, and from other states where they have full lives, living quarters, and families to support. Not to mention campaign costs. Then they have to pay, out of their own pockets, costs to live in DC while representing their constituents. So, you think $200K in a salary can support 2 FULL households, 75% of the calendar year?

Since there are Congressmen who share DC houses in real life your post is extremely dumb.

Pretty realistic. While Senators and Congressmen often have nice houses in their home state, some don't want to pay the $500k-$1million for a nice house in the DC area.

Thank you, and WELL SAID!

It's only partly about the money (there has been a congressman who lived in his office) and the expense of the DC area. It's also they don't want to invest in a place to live, because they aren't there all that much. You would be sick if you looked at the calendar of work days.
