very good until...

... the completely unbelievable, over-the-top ending!

As a die-hard Stromberg fan I can only give a 7 out of 10...

Still me and my buddies had a great time at the cinema in Berlin!

Maybe the best German comedy since "Voll Normaaal"!
Just kidding, I mean since Loriot's "Pappa Ante Portas"!

I don't know... At first, when the strike issue started I thought the same.

But then I remembered that this was what had always happened during the show: he was always able to talk his way into a certain position, be it with his superiors (Nübel and Wehmeyer), be it with his subordinates (the whole Lurchi business with Maja Decker and Ernie's sandwich maker), be it with people from outside like Jochen, the Capitol Intern reporter, the other insurance company representatives in „Die Konferenz“ (I know he pretended to be Becker but nevertheless, everybody was fascinated by him) or the Schiffskasko people: he always had a way to talk, joke or charm himself into everybody's hearts.

Only later they would learn that he has a loud mouth but neither any idea of insurance matters nor of leadership. And that would have happened in the strike as well, as soon as he would have sat with Günther Jauch, and it will happen in his new position in the SPD. Sooner or later (probably sooner) they will realise that he has no clue of social democratic politics.

I asked myself in the cinema: who has fooled who? Has the SPD used the film makers to try and get some votes from the Stromberg fans, or have the film makers used the SPD and Steinbrück to show that a lot of politicians in fact are like Stromberg: somehow risen to power without any real knowledge of what they are talking about.
