“In this season, we span over 20 years — we go to Scotland, Jamaica and England and also end up in North Carolina, so it’s a real adventure,” he says, adding that they filmed a few scenes the crew didn’t even know about. “I was like, ‘Oh my God. What are you doing?’ So there’s going to be some surprises and really dramatic, epic scenes.”

I'm curious about that to. Would some of the crew not have known about the Culloden stuff being filmed before hand. Otherwise I can't begin to even guess at what those scenes could be.

I didn't think they had actually reached North Carolina at the end of Book 3.

They hadn't in book 3 when they end up in America they find out they are in Georgia, then in 4 they go from there to South Carolina then end up in North Carolina. I'm reading 4 right now. Looks like they'll be cutting a couple areas out.

Or it could be that Sam is already thinking into season 4.
