Filming cave scenes!!

reply

Somebody should have informed Diana, she is not aware that Romann is back for season 3 

reply

I must admit when I watched his last scene in Season Two, I was thinking how much I would miss him, totally forgetting he would appear in Season Three. LOL!

reply

If they don't cut the Mary Mcnabb scene from book out of show do you think they'll film that scene along with the scenes at the cave with Fergus in the filming grouping?

reply

Sorry, I'm not entirely following your question, but I think they have to film Fergus at Lallybroch. Fergus losing his hand is the catalyst for Jamie to decide he needs to turn himself in. It also makes sense that Fergus is there when Jamie returns from Culloden.

reply

I know they got all that they need to film with him what I was wondering is if there is anything else cave wise as well without Fergus that they'd also film at this time as well.

reply

I'm sure that all depends on where the cave set is.

I have a friend, who thinks she detected the set. They were building it 10 days ago. They didn't tell her what it was going to be, but she said it looked very much like a cave. And it's very near to Midhope Castle where they film Lallybroch so they could actually film all the scenes at the same location.

reply

Mary or Fergus not with standing, I think they will film the cave scenes of Jamie alone to show his isolation & despair. AND the cave story is historically accurate, DG & the fans would pitch a fit if it were to be deleted. Also it is one of the ways Roger tracks Jamie thru history.

reply

They for sure are filming Fergus losing his hand do you think? Or will that part of the story be omitted for expedience?

reply

They pretty much have to show it since the audience is going to need an explanation as to why adult Fergus has a hook instead of a hand.

reply

@broughps True. But they've left out or changed a few significant things so this I wonder about this as well.

reply

The fact that Fergus is one-handed plays a part in all the rest of the books. It affects his work, his marriage, his entire life. It's not something that could be left out without needing to change numerous story lines that will be coming up this season and in future seasons.
