The Making of Outlander and Outlandish Companion vol 1 and 2

I love Outlander show and books. I am trying to come up with ideas for my Birthday and Christmas presents since those are 10 days apart. Do you think those would be good ideas. I have seen The Making of Outlander book pics and looks awesome but has anyone read the Outlandish Companion books and if you have do you think they were good and worth getting?

The companion books have lots of info in them and are especially good if you can't remember characters. Haven't seen the inside of the other one.
