Witch inspiration

We've known that there was a witch named Geillis Duncan in 16th century, who was tried for carrying Devil's Mark. So, I was just reading Book #4, again, for time pass, and I found this:

32
GRIMOIRE

This is the grimoire of the witch, Geillis. It is a witch’s name, and I take it for my own; what I was born does not matter, only what I will make of myself, only what I will become.

This was when Roger was going through Geillis' notes/grimoire. So, Geillis knew about that 16th century witch, and changed her name from Gillian to Geillis, taking inspiration.

What's so ironic about it is that, Geillis ended up being Geillis Duncan. LOL!! She even got the same surname, and was also tried for witchcraft, for carrying Devil's Mark.

Intersting. There's heavy hints at magic, witch, druid and occult themes.
