The Snape of Outlander?

Came across this article on Twitter. What do you think?

Eh... no. I think Snape stayed faithful to Lily, loving her always even though she wasn't with him. I think there's strong evidence to suggest that Frank didn't stay faithful to Claire, even though Claire was right there and with him. And so far in the show, plus moreso in the books, I think it's a valid question - does Frank love Claire until he dies? In my opinion, he doesn't. And Snape did. So, again... no.

Oh no!! Snape and Frank..? No comparison. The author tried very hard to compare them, I'll give her that.. But I don't think so.

Frank was more into Brianna than Claire.. He was in the marriage for the sake of Brianna. He was going to leave Claire and take Brianna with him to England.. To start anew his life (which he deserved). But Snape? He loved Lily, even after she married another man.. Long after she's dead.. And in his very last moments, too.

I agree with these posts 👆. No comparison.

Not to mention Snape was a bigot and an *beep* whereas Frank just had some bad luck.

Uh... what? You read the books or watched the movies, yeah?

Spoiler alert - Snape was pretending.

As a young man, Snape was seduced by the idea of power and bought into the mudblood ideology. He didn't see Lily that way, but he didn't reject it in general. He chose to become a Death Eater, maybe that's what the poster was referring to. It was only when Lily became the target of that violence that he wants out and will do anything to try and save her.

Then he didn't truly buy into it.

May I ask what your source is for this info? I've read the books multiple times and watch the movies dozens of times and don't recall this. I don't, however, follow anything on social media or Pottermore, so there's probably a lot I don't know.

Don't go to any trouble. I was just wondering. I thought maybe it was a wiki or something online. Thanks anyway!
