shareYes, but seeing that there is no promotion at all, I'm beginning to have my doubts. Also, The White Princess, prequel/sequel to The White Queen is premiering on Starz on April 16th. They have kick started their promotions.. with teasers and trailers and all. And we have Outlander, which doesn't seem have a small little pic of Jamie as a promo.
Lets be honest, if we don't get at least a teaser by Emerald City Con, we should probably hope for a June premiere. And it makes sense, because The White Princess is only 8 episodes, and will probably have its season finale by June.

Sadly it more and more looks like it. I'm resigned to June, but I think it's a waste of opportunity. I don't understand how they can just throw potential Emmy nominations away, because this year could have been their chance with GoT not competing. And I also don't know why they're rushing into a direct competition with GoT on Sunday evening in the summer. I don't think they'll stand a chance in this timeslot. But I guess if they would really come back in April, at least SOMETHING should have started in regard to promo yet and it hasn't. Last year we got the trailer for season 2 on December 1st. Now it's Mid February and we still haven't got a trailer nor a premiere date.
Maybe they think season 4's material is more award worthy? Plus, if they start in June, like June 11 - they'd still get a few eps in, right? Maybe they're the most award worthy. I don't remember the rules too well...
I think we'll get S4 earlier because of the double renewal.

Book/season 4 material doesn't even come close to being award worthy material in comparison to season/book 3.
Double renewal shouldn't have anything to do with when a season premieres. It, in theory, just means we'll get a premiere and season.
No, if remember the rules right, they have to start airing before May 31st.
Season 3 IMO is their best shot. Culloden alone should be epic, the reunion will be very emotional. I don't think there's anything that compares in book 4.
They would be available with season 3 for next year's Emmy of course, but since then the show might have been forgotten by Emmy voters if the disappear for a whole year.
Last year we got the trailer for season 2 on December 1st.
