Hi all,
I just post to let you know, that I got several messages yesterday on tumblr about me "injecting shipper ideals" on the ImdB board and the lovely anonymus poster concluded with telling me, that she will report every, single post I will make on this board, therefor hindering me on taking part in the discussion here as a whole.

So for those who see this, before the thread will get deleted:

If I'll disappear in the coming days know I'm not leaving on my own free will or because I didn't enjoy it here. I did very much and I think we had a great discussion board. I don't see me guilty in any of these ridiculous charges, but it is at it is and I know what one single troll can do. Sadly there's no moderation to this board, so I know that if all my posts will get deleted it will make a further participation on this board impossible for me.

For those, who still like to talk to me: My PM box is always open. For those, who are glad to be rid of me: Have a nice life.

Sounds like the anonymous poster is the one the needs to go. If she/he has such a problem with what you say they can always put you on ignore. Apparently they've never heard of free speech and somehow think they're the arbiter of what can or can't be said/talked about. They need to grow up.

I agree !!!! Reporting someone is NOT the way to go!!! OMG, Some people ARE just mean and spineless !!!!

Yes, I think so. I think just trolls, who like to create conflict. So far I got reported, but my posts are still there. We'll see.

We had the same problem on the Downton Abbey board for a while. It destroyed the whole board, because there were at least 5 posters, who couldn't post anymore without their postings getting reported and deleted at least once a day. It made a discussion impossible and I left the board. (OK, I got sick of the show anyway, so it didn't hurt much).

I guess, I'll just enjoy it today as long as I can! 

Isn't there any type of recourse when one is reported? If only one person is reporting every single post of yours that looks a bit odd. But I guess if it's done by computer no actual person knows that.
I'm not sure why someone can't simply ignore a poster he or she doesn't like. Don't read it! The rest of us might enjoy that poster. I would hate to see you have to leave, Andorra. You know EVERYTHING about the filming of Outlander!
The only posters I have ever reported on IMDb were those who make off-topic gross one line sexual comments that were clearly designed to get a reaction and be objectionable. It just isn't necessary to report a poster because I don't agree with the person.

As I understand it if one person keeps reporting the same person over and over a red flag goes up on the person doing the reporting. They can have their account suspended.

Andorra, as other have said, even if we don't always agree, we have great discussions! It would be a shame to see you go.

Ah so sorry to hear that Andorra - I always enjoy your posts. I am a bit of a lurker but would never think of reporting anyone. Particularly now that freedom of speech seems to be under threat. The only thing I object to is when people become abusive and cannot disagree without hurling insults.

You have always been polite - firm in your view, but that is your right. There should be an option on a board I think for a majority vote - democracy you know!

I am a bit of a lurker but would never think of reporting anyone.

Nothing wrong to be a lurker. I was a lurker for 2 months on this board until I gave up and joined in the discussions. I'm still a lurker on other boards lol. I actually don't find anything interesting to discuss on other tv show boards.. the shows I like a lot more than Outlander. The discussions here made me want to join in. Honestly, of all the boards I visit, this is the least troll-effective board.

Everyone is talking about you making IMDB your personal shipping board and chasing fans off the board. Another safe place ruined by shipper drama.

I have never known you to lie but that last post about IMDB and your role in the drama there is pretty self serving and simply not true. There is a whole string going on about how shippers constantly report people. You constantly interject shipper ideals every chance you get, even when it isn't necessary. I used to post regularly on IMDB but not so much anymore, and only when I see you are not partaking in that particular discussion to avoid drama. So yes, you have chased people away.

Yes. You do interject shipper drama on IMDB. Look at the thread Sam and Caitriona dating. Look at the string Sam's Tweet. Good lord...look at today. I see today a few say they feel uncomfortable posting on IMDB anymore. Yay you. Mission accomplished.

You can't even keep straight the posters who you have had a problem with!!! There is a string of people who state there is rampant reporting with several attributing it to shippers. You are self admittedly the only shipper on there and you have NO responsibility to help out??? Your response is I am going to ignore the issue?!?!?! Righto. I am reporting every single IMDB post of yours for what you just became...a troll.

So instead of apologizing and helping the IMDB board, you play the victim now. TYPICAL shipper. No accountability. Never tries to solve problems but rather causes them. You are pathetic.

I agree with Krish, you are none of that!

I was one of the ones who said that I think shippers are the one(s) who report me. I never thought it was Andorra. I can call someone out if y'all really want me to, but I was hoping to avoid that.

I'm a regular reader rather than poster. I really enjoy reading your posts and find this situation shocking. I've just had a quick look at the FAQ list on this site and there's a contact us section. There's a form that lets you ask a non standard question. Perhaps you could make them aware of what's happening and ask what they can do to support you.

If you need anyone to vouch for you Im sure there are lots of people here who would support, I know I would.

I am so sorry to hear this Andorra. If the person doesn't like reading your post, they can just put you on ignore. They don't have to participate in or read any thread that's not to their liking. Trying to run/bully other people off the board because you don't agree with them is a bit extreme in my opinion. This person seems to have a Bee in their Bonnet about "shippers". How is that hurting anyone for people to believe whatever they want. Why would a person get so emotionally involved in someone else's beliefs that don't even effect them one bit? If you don't like the discussion, don't participate.

I truly hope nothing comes of the event Andorra, because discussion is what makes the board work. Verbal abuse and bullying is what should not be allowed; different opinions is what creates interesting discussion.
