It made no sense at all to leave the dog on the side of the road-that really pissed me off!

Just another reason to hate the sick F of a husband. If someone made me abandon one of my dogs, I would be out for blood.

what happened to the dog after they let him out of the car?

Somebody picked up the dog and took it to the vet. They used the ear chip to call the dog owner's numbers and got the friend, who called the investigator. The dog was okay.

If I remember correctly, it was to buy Craig and Rachel some time to flee without her loved ones asking questions, like, "Who's going to take care of your dog while you're in Greece?"

Uh-huh. That was the writer and director's intention. That's what made Jason Gray-Stanford a believable sicko.

In reality, he's a dog owner and was the ambassador for Best Friends. Haha.

At least Craig didn't tie him to the bumper, though.
