The Last Son of Krypton. A short film

This was a fantastic movie. The story was written in a way that appealed to both fans of classic Superman canon, and those who are looking for a little spice and flavor in the history of Superman. I, personally, enjoyed the new and unique take on Superman which brilliantly exhibited his darker side, his affection for Lois Lane, and his ongoing enmity with Lex. As a Superman fan, and an overall superhero, specifically DC lover, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and would suggest all of my friends and fans of superheroes to watch it. Although an Indie film, the film did not let loose the fact that it was not filmed professionally at a studio. Throughout the movie the scenes were filmed with great detail and beautiful camera usage, which added to the overall ambiance and thrill of the movie.

All in all, it was a great film and I look forward to what comes next!

Do you get a lolipop for writing this?

800$ budget... can you even rent a camera and stuff for this little money?

Pfff... I watched the trailer.
Don't lie.
The audio of the trailer is awful. I wouldn't make it through a movie with this.

Nah, I'm more into chocolate myself. Lollipops are for little kids.

To answer your question though, yeah you can rent camera lens and other equipment with said budget. Also, it's hard to get support for small scale films like this and so you have to make most of what you're given... or not given in this case.

Unless you're willing to donate microphones and cameras I would suggest taking the film for what it is, an indie, unique film. If I wanted to watch a movie for its superb and flawless cinematography or audio quality, I would go watch a movie in theaters.

I'm here to watch a unique take on Superman, which this film delivers.

As for you not making it through the movie, if you watch with the attitude that it's not of the utmost highest quality, of course you're not going to be able to watch it fully through.

I'll say this again. I'm not here to watch some masterpiece of film with the highest quality cameras and audio equipment. I'm here to watch one person's take on something that is a classic in history and to see what creativity can come from it. I'd love to see your films if you've made any, and to see the great video and audio quality that you produce.

It does not take a lot of money to make a movie. Most of the costs are after in making get copies, promotion etc to get it out there. Initially clerks only cost $200 to make. Great dialogue is the heart of a great movie. Clerks proved that you do not need a large budget make an epic film. Too many movies are all special effects fluff. There are a lot of ways to get ahold of equipment. Via schools and or donations. Kevin Smith made Clerks for a student project. All of the equipment pretty much belong to the school. His only real cost during the making of it was for film. His mom and others did catering to help out. Other students helped and favors were called in. After hour shootings at the stores and one amazing script! So, you truly can make a huge movie on very little. & Just because it may be extra cheap does not strip it of the name Indy. please keep these facts in mind...

I skim through the movie and it's really poorly made. You can't say it's even an indie movie because indie film are still professionally made and don't need a studio to make something that looks professional. The color of the film was bad, the acting was bad and the story was boring. The people who made the movie should have put more thought on how to get across with little funds they had.

The only reason I saw the movie was the movie poster. I thought it was a joke put on for IMDB.com. Yes, the poster was something I would have done in high school 15 years ago. :-/ But I had to give props for them for making a movie even if it was bad.

I tried to watch it but had to stop after I saw who was playing superman. Looks nothing like him or even close. I will watch a little more to see how bad it is but no this is bad. You must have worked on it or have like close family. I wouldn't even lie for a friend saying this is good.

Yeah I had to turn it off. All the shots are way too long. How dusty is that roof that he flying from. This is a bunch of grade school kids getting together after school to make a movie quality.
