The worst dialogue ever???

I flipped to BET to get away from the Special Report and this stinker is playing. The quality is pretty good but the writing, acting and directing is the worst. The filmmaker is self taught but that only works for the truly gifted film storytellers. I would suggest going to film school.

Whether or not you are a troll, I'll respond to you:

I think you came in on something the character Mita was saying. That character was the best thing in the movie with her incorrect words such as "unhonest" and various malapropisms or the like while she was dishing. She was funny as heck.

The rest of the movie was okay, imo. I often don't like depictions of romances in movies such as this because the women sometimes seem so ornery and I'm not really sure how they get anyone to continue to be interested. But that seemed toned down here ... again, Mita's character was real ... and despite the overt religious message, which is true anyway, it held together. *** Spoiler *** : I don't think I would have gotten with the guy Mita got with at the end after his little comment about never taking something out of his hand again but I guess her personality won him over and she probably would have ultimately become the boss in that relationship.

Oh, ha, ha. I thought Native Toungez was calling you a troll. I see now he or she was referring to another movie with even worse dialogue.

My apologies :)

It doesn't matter. I was referring to the way the characters spoke. It wasn't real to me. They were saying exactly what was on their minds in the most inopportune times. If there was an attractive female waiting at the bus stop, and I'm a guy who is attracted to the female, I wouldn't just walk up to her and say, "Hi. Can we *bleep*?" No! I would say something that won't get me in trouble like, "Hi. How long were you waiting here? Did a bus just leave?" Everything was like this, preachy and on-the-nose dialogue. But there were other elements that weakened the film experience for me. Too much to remember, too much to describe.

Is there a specific example from the movie that you're talking about? I don't recall any scenes when someone says "can we 'bleep'?".

"Do you even remember what you came here to find?"

reply

There couldn't have been any scenes where they said that because this movie is rated PG.
