Is it just me...

Or is this game really boring, and incredibly glitchy and clunky? I'm really disappointed with it so far...

There is a patch available for Witcher, and Nvidia released new drivers. They should help with the issues. Also, many reviewers has said that this is the most gpu demanding game in history.

I agree, the game is a disappointment:

1. Autodesk used in set dressing rather than characters
2. The dialogue and lore: I know this is imaginary fantasy but why does it sound like "The Sopranos do shakespeare"?
3. Stop-start action - the Star Wars KOTOR games never had the complications and obstacles-to-fun encountered here.

This is diverting for a couple of seconds but this, in absolutely no sense, lives up to the magnificent trailers that promoted it.

I guess there are always detractors but i didnt think i would like this game when i started out...but i kept playing...bow i cant stop..ive played sooo many side missions im at Level 15 and only JUST met the Baron..whom is turning out to be a great character. I am honestly humbled and amazed at how they built this game..dozens upon dozens of side stories...many of which can affect the outcome of the game..so far this is the BEST game on PS4.. and i jus came from Bloodborne which was a stomach churning hard strategy learning game..beautiful graphics BUT no story...so i think Witcher is much better... i didnt even play yhe forst two..honestly i NEVER heard of it either.. i became such a fan the past 2 months i went out and bought some of the first books in the series on my tablet..

Yes i can see that Sopranos vs Shakespearean aspect...great analogy by the way.. i also get frustrated with the glitches but havent encountered many.. there has got to be some for a game this big id imagine.. i also dont like how Geralt treats Roach his horse! LoL...he is kind of a dick to the horsr when riding...lol.. jus saying...

Even so with so many stories each in its own quite fun and riveting this is turning out to be one of my all time favorites next to Last of Us, and i may say better than Red Dead Redemption (and that was an epic game!)..

I've just completed the game. The criticisms aren't entirely invalid - it's not perfect, but it's still very good indeed. The Baron questline is very, very well done indeed. He's a very memorable character, one of the more believable characters I've encountered in a game (or a lot of fiction for that matter).

The scenery in Skellige is wonderful, I'd look forward to getting there.

It sometimes got a bit tedious ticking off the list of question marks (I've still a lot of Skellige ones to do), which I think was a weakness. Also I suspect that following the minimap means I noticed the surroundings less, which has left me not knowing my way around as much as I'd like, and hence a bit less of an appreciation of the setting (spent quite a lot of time in Novigrad and still can't find my way around it unaided).

I take it you never played skyrim? Skyrim was pretty busted I still enjoyed it. The Witcher is amazing. It's got a couple glitches and bugs but the game is so immense I can easily look past. The game is down right beautiful.
