logic flaws and ripping off other movies

I have to say that the logic in this movie was pretty damn bad. The one that jumps out at me was the scene where the boy was showing his friend what he had discovered on the videos and it was just the cameras flickering in and out in a room to room pattern. Really? After all the crap we'd seen up to that point; the ghost woman walking around, the sounds, the flying sheet, and so much more? All you had to show your friend was flickering cameras? Were we supposed to believe that he missed the rest of it?

There was such a deluge of video evidence of horrid crap happening that the idea of not getting the hell out of that house is beyond my understanding. And this was before the dad went half-possessed.

And was I the only one that felt that the last 15 to 20 minutes was simply grabbing at other much better movies? You had a Jack Nicholson from The Shining moment from the dad, an Exorcist pea soup vomit from the daughter, and a Blair Witch staring at the wall finale. I even think they were trying to recreate the claustrophobic feeling of The Descent for a few seconds there as well.




