What happens to Boss in the end ?

When Boss goes to Daniel's flat in the end, one thinks he is going to take a revenge against Daniel, to steal everything he can, to vandalize the flat, or to kill Ruslan. But the flat seems curiously empty and Boss collapses and cries. What happened ?

reply

He collapses because he has lost everything. His girl, his baby and his slaves. That group of people that make him feel powerfull because he controlled them. They adored and feared him. He has nothing now. He can't even take revange againts Marek and Daniel. He is not the boss anymore. He is nothing. And the flat is where everything started. And the things are much more different now.

And would have been pointless.

when Boss got to Daniel's place, it was completely empty. Daniel probably moved out as part of the plan of rescueing Marek out of Boss' gang. It was at that moment, he realized he lost everything and probably felt powerless. An excellent contrast to the initial scene where he was in charge and vandalized Daniel's apartment.

My take, too. Daniel never came back to his place, he had cleaned it out a few days before. He and Rouslan went somewhere unknown. Boss lost it all. We really don't care what happens to him anyway, because he was a very bad guy. It's good to see him lose his arrogance. Total FAIL.

Glad to see this thread. I didn't understand the empty apartment either but agree the guys had moved out ahead of time. Really good movie.

Very good movie indeed. When Daniel first gave Marek his address I couldn't believe a grown man could be that naive. And when Marek came back to this place after his gang cleaned it out I was in shock that Daniel even let him in. But then I realized he really liked Marek, so even though they met under not so ideal circumstances there was a deeper attraction on his part. I kept waiting for Marek to screw him over again, maybe waiting until Daniel refurnished his flat again only to alert Boss so they can hit him up a second time. But when that didn't happen I was sort of relieved but knew that wouldn't be the last of Boss we saw.

When Daniel gave Marek the keys to this place I almost lost it. In the end I was happy to see my fears were unfounded since he moved out after he hadn't heard from Marek afterwards. Maybe he gave him his keys as a test to see if Marek really cared for him or if he was just putting on a good act.

Overall it was a great movie and it kept my attention throughout because I kept waiting for either Marek to work Daniel over or Boss to go back to Daniel's place and possibly kill them. One thing's for sure, as long as Boss is a free man they'll have to continually look over their shoulders.
