Total Garbage

Why would the guy give out his address?

Why did he just stand there as they vandalized and stole everything in his apartment? Him casually joining in with some dancing and drinking made even less sense. What was his aim there?

The whole movie a cluster from there.

You're entirely misunderstanding the film.

He gave out his address because he was lonely, sexually and otherwise. He let them vandalize the apartment for a variety of reasons - he was turned on by the situation of partying with these young people, he wanted to help them, and he was scared by the leader and the number of people. So even though ideally he didn't want them to take his TV and such, he was kind of stuck in the situation and went along with it to enjoy himself.

The whole movie continues to be great after that excellent scene, it's a very realistic and engaging look at people who have very limited options in life and the relationships that form.

Uh... no. He let them come in because he was blackmailed by the kid, who threatened to accuse him of offering him money for sex. And with the boy being in the apartment, it would have been difficult to prove his (Daniel's) innocence. We live in a society where just the accusation of pedophilia is enough to destroy a man's life. The boy threatened to scream so there's no way he would have gone willingly.
