Excellent movie!

The last 2 minutes bumps it up from a 6 to an 8, for me.

Quite radical (not that I necessarily agree with what he does - but in the context of the movie, a very unflinching finale).

Very good, but pales in comparison to the Billy Wilder movie starring Kirk Douglas "Ace in the Hole/The Big Carnival". There the theme of personal ambition versus integrity and the truth in media coverage is examined in a very glaring light. The hypocrisy of the media in seeking ratings or the sale of more newspapers is brilliantly portrayed.

I thought the whole one-handed hanging and rescue was not believable or necessary. And a building leaning on a building? otherwise it was pretty good. I was definitely engaged throughout the film.

This ist very good movie but it could have been a brilliant masterpiece! I think it's a pity how they lost themselves in the action during the last half hour.
I think it would have been much stronger if Yeong-hwa Yoon would have told the whole world what really happened behind the scenes of that News and Mediegroup! The Moment his Boss had his ratings therefor dropping him and the deal he should have confessed to taking the bribes, tell the world how he was forced to steal the Newscast from his former wife and how the mediesystem turned him into such a person that he refrained from calling the police just to get an exclusive story and how his boss and the poilice lied to him about the status of the presidents visit to the station and his stand on appologising and of course how his boss let all this happen to get his ratings and his promotion and that he now that he got what he wanted he left his employee alone in this terrible situation.

If he went ALL IN, the movie would have been so much more emotional and raw but unfortunatly the filmmakers went all bezerk with the CGI's and action clichees ...

He should have publicly shamed the president and other politicians for their inability to man up and stand to the errors they made and of course how his boss let all this happen to get his ratings and his promotion and that he, now that he got what he wanted, left his employee alone in this terrible situation.
