Horse being shot
Once again an innocent animal gets killed by a crazy human. I'm getting so sick and tired of seeing this in a movie. What's the point of this?

I just finally watched the movie yesterday. It's been on my dvr forever. I have no inkling as to why that was necessary at all. I realize what they were trying to accomplish, showing the Fowler lady to be cruel and controlling but they accomplished that without the need to do that period. If anything, they could have alluded to her having shot Last Chance and not even showing him onscreen.
No reason to show the horse onscreen, show the gun, point it at him - I understand they train the horse and maybe there were no bullets in the gun or whatever but it was useless and cruel. Scare the horse and be cruel for some dumb scene in a movie?
Last Chance should get a horse actor for not reacting. Poor horsey. I hate people.
