I am so fricking tired.......

of seeing animals killed in Lifetime movies. If there is ever a close human/animal relationship in one of their movies you can bet the animal will be killed. Never fails.

franbee57, I agree with the killing of animals, HAVING to be INCLUDED in so many movies these days!! I THINK they may be going for 'the SHOCK-FACTOR'. Who the Hell knows!! I did NOT know it was 'common and often' in the Life Time movies!! WOW!! That infuriates me!! Yes, okay, these things DO happen, I realise that. But WHY oh WHY does it HAVE to be so in your face!! Just your comment has turned ME off about Life Time in general. From this point on, I'll be looking for anything else available on a different channel. This movie, in particular did upset me when they killed that poor horse. I HAD to change the channel at THAT moment, it was NOT necessary to include OR show for this particular movie. I'm possitive the film conveyed it's intended message, story without HAVING to include THAT!!

So true. If there's an animal or best friend in the movie I know they're going to die.

I agree and that was written into the script to really show how evil the owners were. I never was put in the position. But we were there when they put an old horse down. They were crazy people.

I turned the movie off at the point when I first tried to watch it. I just caught the ending when it was reshown. I don't like animal deaths in movies.

But you don't mind human deaths I bet. I hate people like you who wouldn't care if a homeless man die but would cry if a homeless dog die. I bet everyone here complaining wouldn't give a damn about random people they meet on the streets. Probably the type to say a 10 year old kid needs to be caned for hitting a dog. If you gave a damn about people like you do with animals, maybe society would be better. When one of your kids get attacked, I hope no one stops it, because it's okay to hurt people right and not animals?

You are entitled to grind your own axe on here the way that you see fit. Different people are on different crusades. Once upon a time movie makers included animal deaths in their work to create pathos. But now I think they seem to have the need to include animal deaths to touch a nerve in animal lovers.

lol here comes the paranoia. That's right. They are fake killing animals in Lifetime movies just to make a handful of animal crazies suffer.

Maybe it's just that a lot of these movies are "true stories" and that working with animals is expensive and time consuming so they usually don't even bother including them unless they play a significant role in the story. And since they are just animals, not speaking characters, chances are this role is going to end up badly.

See, maybe it's not all about you after all?

FYI, animal lovers, are you also bitching about human beings fake dying in movies?

I will give Lifetime this. They don't make their fake animal deaths very graphic. Films are always going to have some animal deaths in them. I accept that. But when movies continually include the obligatory animal death, then people like the OP get fricking tired of it. And I don't blame them.

Completely agree. I also see too many commentators out there these days who wish cruel things upon people as revenge for what they've done to animals. As if that would make it more right. Animal "supporters" are scary sometimes. It's sad to see humans go against their own kind so often. Animals are just as cruel, or even more so.
