saw this for the second time last night - the first was last summer, in hamburg cinemaxx, when it was released. the cinema was very busy to see this comedy.
i enjoy this film, but then i also am one of the few who enjoyed the earlier türkisch für anfänger, so perhaps my judgement should not be trusted!

I think Germans have humour and this movie should be taken as what it is, a lighthearted high school comedy, sure they use some tried and tested jokes and in that sense it is not different from any similar US high school comedy, but it is still watchable and it provides 2 hours of mindless fun, also the leading man is super hot and very funny, great choice for that role!
All I'm saying is, no need to bash a high-school comedy for being a high-school comedy...

Well, it's no new What To Do In Case Of Fire, but i was properly entertained regardless - knowing a "household" German vocabulary sure helped too though, maybe that is why many find it stupid. I laughed several times, and that is a rare thing when i watch movies.
And having been traveling Germany several times, i can definitely vouch for the sense of humor - but again, a bit of language knowledge sure helps the understanding of said humor.
