Is this real?

It sounds awesome, but the choice of Director means that it's not that serious of a Production. He's done nothing but a few really low budget, terrible, low-rated, straight-to-dvd schlock. I would imagine a studio would put a project of this magnitude into the hands of bigger players. I can't even imagine how much it must cost to try and get the rights to all the movie monsters in one flick. I was excited about this until I got here and saw what it was. I hope that Bruce Campbell, whom I believe originally came up with this idea that they stole, can get his version made, because it would have a much bigger budget and big-name support. Being that there's so little about this on the internet, I don't think we should get our hopes up too high.

Bruce Willis didn't play John McClane in the Expendables. Sylvester Stallone didn't play Rambo. That movie was still awesome. A lot of these guys have played other roles beyond their most famous one and have proven their horror chops in numerous ways.

By the way, I am right behind you.

Why would you think they would be playing their classic characters? The Expendables didn't feature big action stars reprising previous characters. They were new characters played by action film icons. This movie similarly is bringing in horror movie icons to play characters you haven't seen before.
