Grateful to Disney

This movie is an honor to our firefighters! Many of us who are survivors - our loved ones died in the line of duty as firefighters whether in a house fire, rural fire, or out in a forest fire - we have waited for this movie for it honors their commitment to risk their lives and that they chose to protect all of our property and lives - and so Disney thank you!

While I have seen only the trailer, i agree with everything you say, as it does seem to be a wonderful tribute to the men and women who fight fires, especially those we call smokejumpers.

Nice to see a positive thought on this!
To be honest, I like Cars, Cars 2, and Planes. I didn't think that Cars 2 was as great as most Pixar movies, but it was still GOOD--better than most animated films from non-Disney or Pixar studios. I hear they're doing a third...yes, it's primarily because they can merchandise the heck out of it and profit like mad. Toy cars, like dolls, will always sell to little kids. Fortunately they're no longer just churning out total garbage in the name of sales. The trailer for "Fire & Rescue" makes it look decent. I laughed a couple times, and they're surely keeping up that stunning photorealistic animation that made shots of the road and landscapes in Cars look almost like live-action recordings. I imagine that this will probably have some cute and likable characters in its beautiful setting, and be worth watching, like the first Planes turned out to have been. Plus, it is a really nice tribute to fire and rescue workers, and will definitely be devoured by kids who are fascinated by such people and their vehicles.

I just went and saw this tonight with my kids! I actually really liked it! It was way better than the first - and even as a stand alone movie I liked it as an adult - of course the kids LOVED it. I was very impressed - and I liked the hidden humor that was thrown in there for us grown-ups!

That's good to hear. The more I see of this through trailers and behind-the-scenes sneak-peaks from Disney, the better it does look...they've certainly applied the same level of care, expertise, creativity, and mind-bogglingly thorough attention to detail that have made other good Disney and Pixar films so uniquely top-notch.
