So a bunch of adults upset at the quality of a kid's movie

Hmm I get it. Yeah I totally get it 35 year old dad. Cars sucks, Cars 2 sucks, Planes sucks, and this new Planes movie realllly sucks. Your kid loves it, but all that matters is what you think of it. Some of you all must be the guy who tells your 4 year old to get over it when they accidentally let go of their helium balloon and it heads up into the sky.

Went to see the movie this evening with my 2 daughters age 21 & 25 and my 27 month old Grandson.
We all enjoyed the movie.
OK I get it, it's not The Godfather.
Enjoy the movie for what it is. Let go and have fun. Don't be such a stiff.

Except that Cars is awesome, Cars 2 is fine, Planes is good, & Planes 2 just really, really isn't

This made me crack up. After my dad and I went to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, he said this:

"The first one was awesome, the second one was good, the third one was ok, but this one sucked."

I'm still hoping for the fifth one though, which was always the original plan.

I saw this movie yesterday with my mother-in-law, my 19 year old daughter and my 3 year old son. We all loved it.

I saw it today and thought it was great. I liked the first one and this one too. Actually thought they were better than Cars 2.

I hear you. Ironically, three years ago, my daughter--who was four at the time--accidently let go of a red balloon just as we were getting into the car. I have to say even as a four year old, she overreacted. However, we would never tell her to get over it. Her great grandmother had recently passed and we told our daughter that her great grandma would get the balloon and take care of it. Just last night, three years later during prayers, she said out of the blue she hopes great grandma got the balloon and is enjoying it. That made my eyes well up!

Oh, that's so sweet. I have no complaints. My younger Grandchildren enjoyed it, and that's what counts to me.

Uh, no, the bar has been set soooo high with previous movies, typically the movies have the cute stuff for the kids, but the makers typically realize we need to put stuff in for the parents/adults. Lego Movie, for example, i def think it was more for adults than the kids.
